Youth Dew Amber Nude is such a rich, smooth scent. And Attrape Coeur–how lovely that would be at a wedding. I would not wear it to such an occasion because of unfortunate symbolism: it lasts no more than a half hour on me. Not a good wish for a marriage.
I’m a little single-minded lately. My big “top 5″ request is scents to wear to a job interview. =:0

This, amongst many other messages, is telling me Mitsouko has to be purchased, and soon.
4. Elle | July 13th, 2007 at 6:12 am
Great lists! I’m trying to imagine DH telling someone he’s wearing Fifi. I’m afraid he’d just say he was wearing Chachnil.
So, is Pierre de Lune on the menu for the weekend?
How about the five luckiest scents for winning a lottery or meeting an oligarch to finance a perfume obsession?
5. Marina | July 13th, 2007 at 6:43 am
To paraphrase Jerry Maguire, your list completes mine
Like, how could I have forgotten Bvlgari Black or Le Dandy?
Great list!
6. rosarita | July 13th, 2007 at 7:41 am
Great lists, and I love the little descriptive pics in between!
7. newproducts | July 13th, 2007 at 8:19 am
Egoiste is on both yours and Marina’s list as best men’s scent for a woman. I feel a lemming coming on…
8. winterwheat | July 13th, 2007 at 12:26 pm
Oh, how fun! I love it! (BTW, I’ve always loved that first pic because it’s such a great example of a snarky expression.)
I am a lifelong devotee of Egoiste. It remains my favorite men’s scent of all time. I haven’t been too successful pulling it off on myself, but you’ve inspired me to try again once the weather turns cool.
I’d like to add another women’s scent that’s fabulous on a man: Imaginez Ambre d’Or. It smells like a cold fireplace with some sweetness thrown in.
9. Existentialist | July 13th, 2007 at 12:48 pm
Terrific lists. And I agree that it is an awesome photo. Is that Jane Mansfield smiling, and who is the snarky brunette?
10. Maria B. | July 13th, 2007 at 1:00 pm
The brunette is the great Sophia Loren, my children. I love that she’s so obviously looking at Jayne Mansfield’s breasts with that derisory expresssion.

Maria, really? It lasts a really long time on me. As for scents for a job interview, I’d probably wear none or something super, super light. Or something that calms you.
Aline, how could I forget about M7 and Un Lys for a wedding? Shame on me! Great lists!
Leo, just buy it already! Sheesh.
Elle, LOL at Fifi! Didn’t think of that. As for PdL, I already own enough, so don’t need more. As for scents to find an oligarch, hmm… JPG Classique? Or something with monster sillage.
Marina, likewise!
Rosarita, thank you! Happy to please.
Minsun, like, yeah! You gotta try it.
Kris, that pic just totally cracks me up. In this case, since I’m supposed to be Sophia Loren, it cracks me up even more cuz I lack in the middle department entirely. Ha! Imaginez d’Or… is that the one that smells remotely like POTL?
Existentialist, that’s Sophia Loren, and I’m not actually sure who the blonde is. I just assumed it’s Miss Colombina.
12. Marina | July 13th, 2007 at 1:56 pm
I wish!!
The blonde one is Jayne Mansfield.

I love this project. Such fun! And the pictures, too!
L’Arte de Gucci - L`Arte is a stunner.
“Le Dandy by D’Orsay - tobacco and whisky? Unisex.” *chuckle* Putting this on my “to try” list.
Bal a Versailles? Fifi Chachnil? Mitsouko? - Whoa. I`ll have to try them on my man. Perhaps Mitsouko will work on him (does not on me).
I intend to wear La Chasse to my (still far in the future) wedding that will be decidedly un-lacy. However, I agree that La Chasse works with things lacy and girly, and just has 1000% more class than most of those girly fruity florals.
Maria, I`m a “child” and I recognized Sophia immediately. Love that expression! Personally, I think, she looks perfect and just so elegant in that dress and with that hair, even if she was thinking “my dress is too demure”! I found the story behind that picture: http://www.donaly.com/don_alys_column15.html.
14. Dusan | July 13th, 2007 at 4:48 pm
Great lists! Love Prada (the men’s too), La Chasse and Black Cashmere.
15. Dusan | July 13th, 2007 at 4:52 pm
May I add Fleur du Mâle (my absolute HG at the moment), Héritage and Déclaration to the MSfW category as well as Parure, Nu and Eau des Merveilles to the WSfM category?
You and Marina paint NY red!

Golly-
I’ve never tried Le Parfum de Therese, but I will have to very soon
