I would like something similar, but still different; drier, mustier, less caramelized, less floral and less in-your-face sexy, but still heavy on the patchouli, to fill the void Angel leaves in my fragrance wardrobe. This made me decide to get hold of a sample of Borneo 1834 - I love Angel, but it’s very much me about ten years ago, and I don’t think I’ll be refilling my almost empty bottle.

I think Ciel is the only scent that successfully blends it. Burberry Brit Red is a close second, although hardly as good. Teri, rhubarb isn’t easy to wear. As for me, I only tried Angel about 5 years ago and fell madly in love, so I'd wear lots of it daily. Now I can only handle one little spritz. My favorite is Rose Angel at the moment.
