I don't think the lid is bad in the US. It's a nice solid brass, 6-sided affair with a good weight. What's it like from Paris?

Is there any real validity to to the cancellation of Dzing!? Perhaps, as the niche scent Dzing has become, it just makes sense for L'Artisan to produce it in 100ml instead of 50?

I just can't face that Dzing may one day not exist. I have even written them a letter. . .

Tove, Divalano, and Tovah, I hear ya! Sorry to be the bearer of such grave news... at least we still have the large size to love and cherish. I absolutely agree with you, Dzing! is one of the most unique scents of all times. It simply cannot disappear.

I've been a ghost-reader for a long, long time, but I must write about my dismay upon hearing of the impending demise of Dzing! I mourn the loss of true genius and pure, unadulterated creativity within the world of fragrance. As we all know, fragrance is one of the finest human arts, especially because it so directly affects every sense of our beings. Losing Dzing! and others of this creative magnitude closes a door to our imaginations and longings for new experiences. After wearing Dzing! I swear I would never experience a circus in the same way. It is through the nose of someone so much more olfactorily brilliant than I, that my experience of a circus (not one I can say I like at all) became an epiphany. Dzing! added LIFE to my idea of a circus, and helped me see a circus as something fascinating in a completely new way.

I'm afraid I'm moaning ad nauseum. Thank you for this wonderful blog, which is an uplifting part of my daily life. I truly enjoy it, and I am not always this negative. I am just SO so sorry that Dzing! is leaving us.

No!! No, no, NO! I read rumors of this last spring, asked at the L'Artisane boutique in Soho & they assured me I'd been misled. I *so* wanted to believe them!!! This is really sad.

Dzing is the scent that started my foray into scent (ignoring my dabblings as a 20something) & is the bottle I go back to always as "my scent". I suppose I need to stockpile, which is also sad since last week I splurged on a bottle of Cuir Ottoman & don't really have the cash for another bottle of anything now. Damnit.

Oh no! Not Dzing! Hasn't this been rumoured before? Although this time, with you saying it, I guess it's not a rumour anymore... I see my first niche bottle purchase approaching.
