A.Maze - Amazing?

January 17th, 2007

A MazeLooks like The People of the Labyrinths have struggled and emerged into A.Maze, their new fragrance soon to debut at Beautyhabit and Luckyscent. Its predecessor, Luctor et Emergo, has won and shattered many a hearts. It’s also been named a cult perfume by Style.com So, now we have A.Maze. What will it be like? We shall see. Meanwhile, Beautyhabit promises us this:

“This new perfume strikes a somewhat lighter note. On top you find Henna and Saffron, a combination which gives your senses a surprising opening boost. In the bouquet you find the delicate Taif Rose from Saudi Arabia, Orange Blossom, Wardia Rose and many other natural components. Lastly, you experience precious woods, Agarwood from Cambodia, Sandalwood and Musk.”

Also, please read Luckyscent’s description of A.Maze.

Why am I reminded of A*MEN?
    ;)

    Sounds very intense.

    Bundle up, my beauty !

Henna?? Will it smell like a beauty parlor? Obviously not–but I can’t imagine it. I’m not a fan of the original, though *standing near Marina* so I’m not dying to try this. But you never know. . . . .

Well, POTL is all Play-Doh on me, as you know. A complete joke. But I think some of those notes sound pretty great.

Hmm. Hmmm. I am one of the die hard fans of the original (no Play-Doh, just incense heaven…but, of course, I still haven’t actually smelled Play-Doh) and have waited for approximately 17 centuries for this one - but am now somehow less than enthused about these notes. Well, sample is en route, but I won’t be exactly stalking the postman.

I’m not a fan of the original but this one does have me curious….

This one sounds like it has great possibilities; the henna note could be very interesting. I remember, when I used to henna my hair, that its muddy-herbal scent had that ying/yang quality of being both unpleasant and oddly attractive at the same time. A touch of this element could be a very good thing indeed.

And the packaging is purple, my favorite color, Ina.

I think I will test this. Any release date?

    Hugs!

As long as the henna blows off pretty quickly and the saffron doesn’t stick around forever, the rest of the notes actually don’t soudn so bad. I expect they’ll have a problem living up to POTL, though.

Ayala, what an interesting association. I didn’t even think of that. :)

  • 11. Ina  |  January 18th, 2007 at 9:10 pm

Chaya, I truly hope it’s superb.

  • 12. Ina  |  January 18th, 2007 at 9:10 pm

Judith, I think henna smells good, doesn’t it? I’m hoping.

  • 13. Ina  |  January 18th, 2007 at 9:11 pm

March, I’m yet to smell play-doh. In real life or in POTL. ;)

  • 14. Ina  |  January 18th, 2007 at 9:12 pm

Elle, methinks this will stand out. It has to.

  • 15. Ina  |  January 18th, 2007 at 9:12 pm

Sara, yes! More than curious here.

  • 16. Ina  |  January 18th, 2007 at 9:13 pm

AnnE, totally agree. Henna could be just what we need here.

  • 17. Ina  |  January 18th, 2007 at 9:13 pm

Robin, end of February, I guess? Not sure, though.

  • 18. Ina  |  January 18th, 2007 at 9:13 pm

Patty, blasphemy! We need both henna and saffron here, woman. ;)
