L’Artisan Oeillet Sauvage
June 9th, 2006
Today I’m wearing Oeillet Sauvage by L’Artisan Parfumeur. It’s a gorgeous creamy, slightly spicy carnation. The description on the L’Artisan site says, “Piquant and vivacious, the perfume of wild carnations is generous and flowering. Pepper is combined with pink berries to tame the exuberance whilst preserving the carnation’s sensuality. Then, with the notes of spice and vanilla, the carnation sweetly overwhelms us… for even greater pleasure!” It’s not overly sweet or fruity, and if it does overwhelm me it’s in a good way.
Sadly, the scent is said to be discontinued but there’s still remaining stock left at the L’Artisan online shop, Escentual, and Four Seasons Products.

I wear this one, along with Floris Malmaison — and one I swear I’m forgetting!. Carnation is a cheerful scent.
We’re getting ready to head out. I’ll call you today.

I find Oeillet Sauvage sweeter and more wearable but I must revisit Floris Malmaison. Waiting for your call!
