VIP Room Candle

VIP Room carries the name of the famous Paris nightclub. The candle was created for the club’s founder alongside VIP Room fragrance, therefore it features the same notes - tiare flower, bergamot, tangerine, pineapple, sandalwood, vetiver, birch, iris root, leather, styrax, amber, vanilla, musk. I must say I don’t necessarily detect all of the notes when I burn it but it sure brings out the same aroma of leather, pineapple, amber, and birch. It’s sensual in an urban way. It’s the type of candle I like to burn on nights when I listen to the Chillout station on the Musicmatch radio. It smells of gin & tonic, leather jackets, and birch trees - a bizarre combo, I realize, but intoxicating nonetheless. Its stimulating and rhythmical aroma fills the room in no time. I absolutely adore it!

I have to say that I wasn’t knocked out by their signature perfume (too soft, too sweet, not enough–something). But you make the candle sound so good. . . .Perhaps it would be better in the room than it was on me:)

J., I must say I’m surprised you found it too sweet but I can see how it might not be as wearable. It smelled awesome on my husband, more so than me. The candle is to die for, though. *hint-hint*

I own and love the fragrance and I can’t wait to get my hands on the candle actually. That candle, together with Comme des Garçons 2 candle, are two of my most sought-after fragrance thingies at the moment. Thanks for writing about it!

Hi! I haven’t smelled the Comme des Garcons 2 candle yet but now you got me curious! VIP Room is definitely to die for. By the way, do you blog in English, too?

Ina: Hi back! Unfortunately I don’t. My English is nowhere as colorful as my Swedish so when writing carefully about scents I choose the latter. I do post on Basenotes though and I will try to write more reviews up there soon.
