Brulure de Rose by Parfumerie Generale
June 6th, 2006
Today I’m wearing Brulure de Rose by Parfumerie Generale, a rose scent with notes of amber, raspberry, musk, vanilla, and cocoa. Marina at Perfume-Smellin’ Things has already done an excellent job describing the scent here. Rose Brulure is a sweet and slightly syrupy, liqueur-like rose, along the lines of Parfums de Nicolai Balkis minus the peppery iris. It can be purchased directly from the Parfumerie Generale online shop.

[…] Parfumerie Generale Brulure de Rose and Delrae Bois des Paradis - um, weird at first. This becomes very gourmand in character, almost edible right off my skin. Like cinnamon bread pudding. […]

I just received my full bottle of Brulure de Rose and normally I spray and just wait for the scent to develop, however, I could not wait with this one. I was sniffing my wrist every nanosecond just to make sure that I didn’t miss any notes. It truly is magical and I am normally not able to wear a rose scent well. Actually, I’ve been very lucky lately with BdR and Drole de Rose by L’Artisan. Anyone who is not a fan of rose scents simply must try these two.

Parisa, so glad you love it! I quite fancy it myself. My other favorite rose scent along the same lines is Rose en Noir by Miller Harris, only available in London, sadly (but samples/decants can be found on ebay).
